Yesterday was Hilary's baptism! Woop woop! She got dunked in Jesus' sweat. Lol. And so did Georgia, David and Cheryl...It was really good fun, we ate paella and pavlova! And there were people from NZ and Austrailia watching on skype which was quite funny :) Hilary and Josh taught us the New Zealand Haka which is the war dance thing that they do before rugby games. It should be on youtube soon...
Then I went into town with Team Edmonds to do some "Late Night Shopping"...I bought some earrings and a cool-ass watch which doesn't actually work but it looks awesome. So it stays.
Then today, Hilary led worship at church (and we kicked ass). We did some choons such as "Take, take, take it all" and "Jesus I believe in you, Jesus I beloooong to you" Good times. And then we had a goodbye bbq at the Anderson's house for David and Daphne. That was awesome fun as we did some more Haka and ate meat (YAA) and learned words in dutch! And then we all sat down and said formal goodbyes to David and Daphne and loads of people said thanks and goodbye to me and the other girls who are leaving...yay for lovely people!
So now my voice hurts from being an angry white girl trying to be Maori. LOL

El Encierro
Today I did the coolest Spanishiest thing and went, with some others from the church, to see the men running with bulls (encierro...nice work Francis). Our good friend, Martin, was one of the many crazy people who ran...and pestered the bulls so they ran at him. It was majorly cool, some awesome people started jumping over the bull when they were in the ring. It was averagely amazing. And we were all cheering for Martin...cause we're cool!
And then I went for lunch with Christy, Martin, Rob and some others...we had gazpacho, ensalada, escalope y cerveza. Go us. It was fun times.
So it turns out, Hilary's brother, Josh, unplugged the freezer on sunday and we found out yesterday...so we had a bbq to eat up all the defrosted meat.
So that's all the news for now. God is good, God is great, I thank him for my dinner plate.
And well done to all those lovely people who got good GCSE results today! LOVE

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
Yesterday I had an ever-so-fab day with my family and the lovely Luis and Naomi :) We did the cool tour...had ice-cream, held angry turtles and visited el hogar del futuro! And then I ate dinner at the hotel my fam are staying at. Woop. Riekje's sister arrived yesterday, armed with Stroopwaffels :p so I've been moved to Jordan's room which has a cool pink canopy thing over the bed...means I'm a princess right?
Today has been nice too, hung out with the kids...saw "Beverly Hills Chiuaua" lol. But I've just had to say goodbye to Leah :( Boo. I hate saying goodbye at the best of times but Leah is Super Duper...not rubbish but she is going home on friday and I won't be here when she's back...so I'm sad now. But I've got tea...so life isn't too bad!
Paella tonight :D Love.

God wants my shoes :)
Church was really cool today. Hilary's Dad, Rick gave a talk on how God doesn't want ability but availability. The main message was "God wants your shoes"...he focused on Moses and Joshua and how God wanted to work through them, in their shoes and their success was because they made themselves available to God. And then how Jesus lived on earth for 33 years, in our human shoes. It was a really awesome message that challenged us to be an essence of Jesus for the people we have daily contact with. Super Duper.
After church we had a BBQ with my family, Hilary's family, Rob and Chris, another couple (Jason and...?) and the Wallaces. It was really lovely and filling! But sad because I'm not going to see Chris again as she's going to Brazil *sniff, weep, sniff* ...unless I come back...!!!
Anyway, I'm currently drinking cold water, thinking how I've enjoyed today a lot. Even though I enjoyed my tranquil week, it's really fab to have the Wallaces back :) I missed them! And it's been great to see my family! Tomorrow...Luis and Naomi time! SpDp!

Sun, Fun and Franco
Just a quick little catch up: On Thursday, after getting my AS results (AABBB) I went to the Piano's house for lunch. We went shopping before hand and I bought a nice top in the H&M sales :) Eliza, Georgia and I had a fun conversation about hot actors and period dramas! I love being English l0l. Eliza and I also climbed the huge hill near her house and saw General Franco's summer house!
Yesterday I woke up early (for once) and got the train (and metro - woop woop!) to el Aeropuerto to collect my darling family. They put their bags in the hotel and then came round for a nice salad made by Leah and I :) Then we all hung at the pool. After this, I left the family at the Wallaces and I got all dolled up in my new H&M top and we went to Leah's for dinner and then to a jazz club where we met up with Leah's room mate and her spanish friends. It was a fun fun night. The Jazz was fab, we had nice drinks and I practiced my Spanish...mainly trying to listen to what the others were talking about lol!
So then I slept round Leah's and didn't really wake up properly until 11.00 haha. So at like 12.30 Leah gave me a lift back to la casa de Wallace and we hung by the pool (of course) and then I met Hilary and her lovely brother and Dad. They are from NZ and are staying for a while at the Wallaces. So all in all, I'm having a Super Duper time. Family went for a tour of Madrid today...Woop!
Tomorrow is church, I'm singing again...Hilary and her brother are writing a song for the offertory (winner) aannd then the family are coming round for a BBQ at the Wallace's. Winner, winner, chicken dinner! Love xxx

To the east, to the east, the road beneath my feet.
Hello beauties,
Luis and Naomi came over today, we went swimming, had a lovely salad lunch, played with etcher-sketches (for a very long time), went to the shops with Chilli (the sausage dog) and ate ice-cream.
Super Duper. I suggest you all listen to "The Road" by Frank Turner. I've been rather enjoying it today and I will listen to it again now before I go to the pool before dinner. Thank you for all the lovely comments in my "Cbox"...I miss you all and hope you are well xxx

Medicinal and yummy, what more could you want?
I had a lovely evening with Martin and Mati and their lovely family last night...they don't just have a baby boy, they have 2 older boys as well! They are all fab and we spoke mucho espanol! Woop. Today, I've received many a phone call....one was crazy dutch lady Riekje asking if I could put some jumpers in a bag for Rob to take to Portugal as it's quite chilly I hear.
Also, Leah came over to do some working and we went to the pool and sunbathed! It was nice and we chatted a lot and then we had lunch! She had spicy mustard on her sandwich which apparently unblocks the synases...medicinal and yummy! And then we worked...I've started my philosophy summer project thing and I also started researching Hernan Cortes for my Spanish essay. I'm going for a swim later and then tonight I am going to watch a film and eat Spag Bol. Super Duper.

Waster, waster, waster, home alone
The Wallaces packed off for Portugal today...boo but whay because I've had a nice day. I went into Madrid to sort the money thing but that didn't happen. Had a bit of a cry in the middle of the city and phoned my mummy but then I went to starbucks and had a nice bagel (completely overpriced of course). And actually, I was really proud because I conquered the Madrid Metro without assistance. GO ME!
When I got home I did some clothes washing which was really fun actually...I had to phone mum again at one point to check I was doing it right (boo) and now my white clothes are hung up outside and my colourful clothes are still being churned around in the machine. I also did my nails and went swimming.
Anyway, enough of the boring talk...worship was really good yesterday, we did "Your love is amazing" in a country and western (It ain't mine) kind of way...it was rocking. And I sang my song, Mighty God in the offertory which people seemed to like. Also, a black guy (can't remember his name) stood up and ad libbed some praise and it was beautiful. Then we had a huge load of people round for Paella...biriyani style. Was scrummy and I had a nice chat with Chris (nice worship lady) about worship while making salads. They were good salads too.
I just got a call from Martin and Mati (lovely couple who teach Spanish to some of the kids from church and have a little boy) and they have invited me round for hamburguesas this evening. Woop.
So I hope my bra dries quickly or I might have to wear my bikini there...

Stress!
Forget what I said earlier, the credit card issue is not solved but it is on it's way to being solved.
I met up with the lovely Naomi and Luis and we had a fab day looking at all the sights and going to the ham museum. Fun was had by all.
Please pray that the money situation will get sorted. I'm out of energy. Love xxx

Feeling hot, hot, hot!
Fantastic happenings have been happening people! The other day when I was in Madrid, I was unable to withdraw money for whatever reason...it was stressful as I only had 5 euros left for my stay (not cool) so, I got the Soul Survivor crew and some other fab people praying and I phoned my mum and she completely sorted it. Super Duper God and Super Duper Mum. Woop.
SOoo, today I'm going to the city to meet up with Naomi and Luis and I will have money! Yay! I've had a nice few days, been playing trains with the kids (who have the whole Thomas the Tank Engine play set), planning with Lawrence for worship on Sunday, and swimming! Woop.
We went to Playa de Madrid which is a lake to check it out for a baptism and go fishing. The water level had gone down loads so it wasn't really suitable for a baptism but we had a good time, the boys swam and went fishing...Joel got excited and started shouting "WE SAW A FISH". Haha. And yesterday, I got them all into bed! Go me.
Will write again soon xxx

Americans!
So yesterday, Dave and Daphne (lovely lovely people) invited me round their house in the evening (aww) with one of the interns to watch a film. So I met Christy, who is cool and from Arizona and we watched "The Hours" which was depressing but good and a bit funny because of a bad make-up sitch in some scenes.
Then today, after a bit of mums and toddlers, Christy and I went into Madrid on the train. We met a nice lady on the train who spoke Spanish really quickly but it was good...Christy ended up with her number. Haha. Anyway, we went to a nice cafe that sold yummo bocadillos and yummo cervezas and it was muy muy cheap. WOop. Then we wandered around, went to Zara, bought some stuff...I bought a present for my bro! And a few postcards etc. And then I posted a letter to a lovely lovely girl. And then we came back. We had nice chats about everything...life, God, food, clothes, food, and home. Then I swam and cooled down.
Fab day but I'm tired now. I love God and life and I'm really happy. Love xxx
P.s. Christy called my fringe "bangs" like they do in Scrubs lol. And also, you know when someone's pregnant and they have a bump..? Well americans call that a "Pooch" Hahahahhaa. Oh fun times.

Mexican food and Margaritas
Yesterday was my first visit to a mountainview service. It was really good, I enjoyed playing bass and singing in the worship and then Richard preached on Nahum and we watched a clip from Lord Of The Rings (sign of a good church). There was a girl called Leah who did an "Offertory" (someone performs as the offering is taken) and she sang Desert Song by Hillsong which was really beautiful and really encouraged me.
This is so where God wants me right now, I'm really loving hanging out with the kids (even when they are naughty I love them) and meeting the fab people at mountainview. It's been quite funny because loads of them have commented on my "cute accent"...especially the americans :)
After church yesterday we went to some people's house for a mexican lunch which was so good! They had an amazing house and a daughter called Tori :D woop woop!
Today was another good day...We had a barbecue with Riekje's neices who have come to stay. It's quite funny because they all speak dutch so I'm like ....what now? But it's quite fun to guess what they are saying! This morning I spent a while watching the videos from Eurovision at SUbmerge and showing Jordan and she thought they were very funny! And I've been asked to help lead some of the worship next Sunday which is very exciting.
Ooo, and it rained today! Very cool indeed....we were in the pool at the time and then there was thunder!
Speak soon xxx
P.s. I'm listening to Fantastic 6 and missing camp so much. xxx

Helloo folks,
Well I've had a really good few days. I've continued to have a lot of fun with the children, the boys have been taking pictures and making videos on my camera which has been a big hit :) We had a barbeque last night with Lawrence and Cathy and Rob and Chris who are close friends of the Wallaces and we talked a lot about church and church growth and plans for mountainview in the coming years...it's all sounding so exciting!
Riejke and I went to a sewing party at this amazing house and we sewed fish, bread and wine which will eventually decorate the new room where the services will be held. We then ate loads of ice-cream with heaps of amazing chocolaty and caramely sprinkles! Woop! It was really cool.
I managed to get in touch with Naomi and we had a nice chat por telefono and I'm really looking forward to meeting up with her! We also spent most of yesterday at the pool which was fun. The boys have been making a video on my camera which involves them shouting "earthquake" jumping into the pool.
I'm playing bass at the church tomorrow and looking forward to meeting more people and seeing what the services are like :) Adios for now xxx

Lazy days...
Hey folks,
Yesterday I had a lovely day...Jordan (3) and I went to the park and played hide and seek. She didn't really get it at first and starting shouting "I'm here" after I did the whole "Where could Jordan be?!" thing but it was fun nonetheless.
Then in the evening, Lawrence (a worship leader guy at mountainview) had all the elders and their families round his house for a BBQ which was really lovely and we had a good swim. It was great to meet some of the other people and children (not that children aren't people...) from the church (even though I can't really remember many of their names).
Jordan and I are going to the park again today while the boys do their homework...but now, we're going to do her make-up :)
I hope you are all having a good summer where you are xxx
P.s. Naomi, I am trying to get hold of you but your number isn't recognizable by my phone so I will ask if I can use the land line at some point! I haven't forgotten you, I promise xxx

Arriving!
Yay, I'm in Spain! The journey was short and sweet and went well until I came to Madrid and my suitcase came out on the wrong conveyor belt thing which meant I was waiting to get it for an hour...gaahhh. Anyway, so after that short hiccup, Richard found me and we made it back to his lovely house in Las Matas. It's beautiful here.
The intern who was here before me left me a little letter and a goody bag with "Megann's Top Tips". It was really sweet and made me feel very welcome :)
The family are lovely and I've really enjoyed playing with the children...I have played dogs and babies with 3 year old Jordan who is a sweetheart. And the boys have been busy doing homework and building things...we played Jenga, and Lego Batman on the wii (which I was shockingly bad at). I've also just helped Ethan with his Spanish homework which is a bit of a joke but hey! We can improve together!
I'm still rather tired from the journey and I miss home, Mum, Julez, Josie, SUbmerge people but I'm having fun and the sun is shining! We're going swimming later! Woop!
Anyway, I'm going to eat now I think....mmmm. Love xxx

Guests, Gunge and God
Camp was amazing guys. My team "The Wee Tartan Blue Crew" came second in Eurovision (first place was Julez's team, Denmark with a fab song) and God did so much cool stuff with the guests and, of course, the leaders!
It was a crazy week, as always, including dancing with a maraca around Salisbury dressed as a mexican, getting covered in porridge/baked beans/shaving foam, meeting with God, hanging with the guests, boogying with the team. It was just fabulous.
So now I'm exhausted but I had a nap earlier and I'm about to have a good night's sleep before doing some serious packing with Josie tomorrow...I will be going to church in the morning (woop) and then saying farewell to my darling friends for a month and heading off in the early morning on monday. I'm very excited about meeting Richard and the family :)
So I guess that's it really...I'll speak to you all on the other side! Love and God Bless xxx
